The idea of ​​engaging in skiing professionally, a traumatologist prompted it, who said that health risk would be justified only if the skis would be a matter of life for her.

The following year, she received the title of absolute champion of Russia, taking five gold medals at the National Championship. Not always performances for the athlete went smoothly. At the Winter Paralympic Games of the Year, which took place in the cities of Vancouver and Westler, Franseva went to the start only once, in a high -speed descent, although there was no route for training in Russia at that time, so that the athlete and her presenter Polina Popova were practically not prepared for the performance.

Alexandra nevertheless took sixth place, but due to a collision with a guide at the finish, having received a bruise under his eye, she was not allowed to be other competitions. Due to the conflict with the leadership of the native sports school in the future, Frantsev was forced to leave her and founded her sports club along with the Kamchatka society, where she invited Polina Popova.

The athlete approached the Paralympics in Sochi in the status of the current world champion. And it was her bronze medal in the speed descent that became the first medal of the Russian team.

Further, Alexander won silver in Super Gigant and Gold in Slalom, the first award for Russia for the highest dignity at the paralympics in skiing. The International Paralympic Committee on February 26 published a list of Russian athletes who will be able to take part in the paralympiad of the year in the city of Pyeongchang in neutral status. Alexandra entered this list.
