Solzhenitsyn Ignat Biography
Saydasheva will be a concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan. A gastrobler - maestro Ignat Solzhenitsyn will take a place behind the conductor’s remote control. The son of a famous writer and the already famous musician himself. He arrived in Kazan a few days ago and daily conducts rehearsals with the orchestra. In one of the breaks, Mr.
Solzhenitsyn kindly agreed to give an interview. Solzhenitsyn Jr. immediately disposes to himself-smiling, friendly, has excellent manners. And beautiful Russian. What do you think was the dominant of his philosophy? Since we are all going through the final and rather short way on Earth, then our task is to understand why we live. Perhaps this was the main topic of his philosophy.
How did it arise in your life? When we moved to the United States, to this deaf state Vermont, we had a cabinet piano in our house and I really wanted to learn how to play it. I am a pianist by first education, studied in London, then in New York. I understand that not every person has such parents like mine, this is a great luck. It’s hard for me to imagine my life without them.
And although there were certain difficulties, it is much easier to go from the world to the world of abundance than the opposite. So doubly heavier in a foreign land. He lacked the recharge coming from his native land. There was a curious story with his “tiny” [short sketches. The first of them were written in the year, then in the West his father wanted to return to them, but he did not succeed.
But having returned to his homeland, he again was able to write “tiny”. In the nineties, he wrote fourteen “tiny”. Having gained his homeland, he found the opportunity to write them. Interesting, right? And how did my father deal with you in childhood? He was a wonderful teacher and professionally taught many disciplines, he had a job behind him. Communication with him, of course, was not as extensive as with his mother, but, on the other hand, extremely saturated and important.
Never in life. I even know that the parents were happy that none of the children went through the writer's path. And so to be the son of Solzhenitsyn is not easy, and to be a writer, God forbid! You understand that this name means for millions of people on Earth and especially in our country. As far as I understand, you were a successful pianist, your career was good. I realized that if you strive not just to pick up a conducting stick and wave, but seriously engage in this profession, we must start studying as soon as possible.
Then by forty or by fifty years in this profession it will be possible to figure it out. The conducting for me was a call of the soul, and I did not resist. Did he influence you?
He did not just support me in the desire to become a musician, but contributed to this. For many years, he helped me comprehend the musical problems of both the general plan, and more narrow, related to the composers, whom he loved more than others, - Prokofiev, Shostakovich. Rostropovich played a huge role in my life. There is no time left for anything. Are there any differences?
The level of the first rehearsal is higher, let's say. On the other hand, our orchestras are better remembered and understand why we came to this profession. They have a very serious attitude to music. The level of conservative education and education has fallen very much over the past twenty years. If we talk about privacy, the local school is still not at the western level.
It is necessary to pay attention to this. And on economic problems, of course. But I can say that there are worthy orchestras in Russia. Her traditions were laid back in the nineteenth century - you see what a story. Of course, something can also be wished for him, but this can be said about every orchestra.
